Display Table

Solid steel lazy susans rotate the Two Stone Tablets on two inlaid circles cut to precise tolerances by water-jet technology
The special table upon which the Two Stone Tablets are displayed is one of a kind. It was designed by Tracy Potts specifically to allow the Tablets to easily rotate front to back. A solid steel lazy susan is embedded below the top surface of the table on which each of the two wood disks sits. The Tablets, each in its own specially designed acrylic holder, also designed by Mr. Potts, sit atop the two round wood cut-outs on the table. The table is constructed of solid walnut and contains no artificial fillers or particle board. It is hand crafted from start to finish by a master cabinetmaker who was specifically chosen for his skill and craftsmanship.
The table top measures 40” (99 cm) x 22” (55 cm); each leg measures 2¼” (5 cm) x 2¼” (5 cm) x 32” thick x (78 cm) in length. Each of the two round disks are 16” (39 cm) in diameter. The table weighs about 57 pounds (26 kg).
The circular disks are drilled using computerized high-speed water-jet technology. The result is near-perfect circles achieved without destruction of any part of the surrounding wood. The disks are drilled to tolerances far smaller than even the most modern ordinary wood working equipment.
The two inlaid rotating disks are level with the top of the table, and the beautiful wood grain runs continuously across the top. The special handmade walnut display table is a work of art in itself.
