The depiction illustrates what was heard as divine inspiration in the fall of 2007—the imperative command, “Build an ark in your heart or you will drown, for a flood of deception is  coming.” The words of the inspiration led to an intial sketch, which was used to create the illustration.

The open view heart is set adrift on “the sea of deception.” An ark, like Noah’s ark and the Ark of the Covenant (as described in the Bible) fill the heart chamber. Both the Ark and the ark appear as spiritual metaphor. The Ark of the Covenant symbolizes following the Law given by YHWH and following YHWH as Elohim (God).

At the top in the center are the First Words of Elohim as recorded in Hebrew, pronounced, “Ehyeh Or.” In English the words are literally translated as “Let be light.” The reddish cumulus clouds which open up in the center of the illustration reveal not only light from the sun, but the light reflected by the words of YHWH Elohim.

Conversely, the words themselves reflect the light of YHWH Elohim. On the Torah scroll in the sky is the text from Deuteronomy (D’vrim) 6v4, “Hear, O Israel, YHWH is your Eloah, YHWH is One.” They are the opening words of the most sacred prayer in Judaism, The Sh’ma. The Sh’ma is cited by YahShua (whom Christians call Jesus) as the first and great commandment.

Within the “sea of deception” are the Hebrew words, from Jeremiah (Yirme’yahu) 8v8, “l’sheh’ker e’t a’sh’h sheh’ker”, which are translated literally as “of the lie the pen has pushed deceit” and which are generally translated as “the lying pen of the scribes has worked deceit”.

The other two Hebrew words in the sea of deception are “elohim acherim” which is “other gods”—the other gods of which YHWH Elohim commanded we not have beside Him (Exodus/Sh’mot 20v3).

In the “sea of deception” are the Greek words, “Mystery Babylon” and the Greek word “pseudo-christos,” which means “false christs,” or “false anointed ones,” or “false saviors.”

In this inspired illustration the “flood of deception” is a central spiritual reality; and when we build such arks in our hearts, we ourselves will not drown when we are threatened with inundation by the seas of deception.
