About the man given the call to re-create the Two Stone Tablets

Born in the late forties, A. E. Tracy Potts is the eldest of three sons of an Episcopal clergyman in a medium-size city in the American South. He received an education in the liberal arts as a young man and in the sciences in his mid-thirties. He is a retired reserve officer of the Army Nurse Corps.

As if he stepped through a time warp from the base of Mount Sinai, Mr. Potts looks like you’d expect Moses to look (at the same age) if he appeared to us today wearing a sport shirt, wire-rim glasses, and a Greek fisherman’s cap over his flowing white hair. His face is covered in a salt-and-pepper beard, and he speaks like you would expect of someone who claims a recent close encounter with the Almighty.

Some three years ago, Mr. Potts heard and obeyed the still small voice within, as described in Scripture by Elijah the prophet, to take up the study of the Old Testament, or Hebrew Bible—in Hebrew. It was toward the end of 2007 that he believes that the deity calling Himself by Name to Moses (Moshe in Hebrew) laid a calling on him—a call he was not seeking. The nature of the call was to bring, so to speak, the stone tablets of His Testimony, as well as His Name (given as Self-proclaimed in ancient Scripture) back into the modern world. Because of the very nature of the calling, he took it on as if the deity who parted the seas ahead of Moshe for the escape of the Children of Isra’El (which, in Hebrew, means “rules with El”—Elohim) from the armies of the Pharaoh, was still around today.

His understanding of his calling was that he was to re-create the Two Stone Tablets that would have been carried off Mount Sinai by the man calling himself Moshe some 3,500 years ago. Mr. Potts’ testimony is that he was to commanded by “the Mighty One of Isra’El” to make these first-ever re-creations as historically accurate and as authentic as possible. They were to be completely true to their description in Scripture (Jewish and Christian). Mr. Potts believes that same deity who refers to Himself by the Name YHVH throughout the Ten Commandments called him to put the Two Stone Tablets of the Testimony (as they are called in the original language of Scripture) and His Name back out into the world.

Like Moses as described in Scripture, Mr. Potts has, from time to time, tried to resist the call, but that call has proven to be of such a strength and of such intensity that he feared to resist the call totally. The proof of the strength of the vision that he was given is that the Two Stone Tablets now appear before us today—in pretty much the same way that they would have appeared to Moshe, or Moses, as he picked them up just after having been written upon—by the Finger of the Mighty One of Isra’El.

Mr. Potts developed this site in cyberspace simply and solely to fulfill the mandate he received to put the Two Stone Tablets that bear The Name of YHVH back out into the world.

Mr. Potts and his wife Ruth reside in San Antonio, Texas with their ten-year-old daughter. He is the founder and corporate head of HaShem Artworks and works full time answering the call to get the Two Stone Tablets as they would have appeared to Moses back out into the world.

Where Did You Get the Idea for the Two Stone Tablets?

The re-created Two Stone Tablets project exists because we are of the firm conviction that the Elohim (God) of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob has called us to re-create the Two Stone Tablets with the western world’s first authentic replica since the time they were carried off Mount Sinai by Moses (Moshe) some 3500 years ago.

What Do The Two Stone Tablets Look Like?

The re-created Tablets are rough-hewn, just as were the ones written on by the Finger of YHVH. The granite Tablets are about sixteen inches (40cm) wide, about nineteen inches (47.5cm) high, and about two inches (4.7cm) thick. Their coloration is red-brown, with scattered dark splotching as a result of iron oxidation, virtually identical to the color of the granite of the mountain chain where we believe Mount Sinai was located. The Tablets are displayed on a specially designed table with two lazy susans that allow the Tablets to turn freely front to back.

Why Should My Congregation Acquire the Two Stone Tablets?

They are written in the same type of writing (Phoenician Paleo-Hebrew) as was written by the Finger of Elohim—according to Scripture. They contain His own Testimony in His own words as to His Name (Yahweh) and Who He Is—our Eloh (Mighty One); as well as His commandments regarding how we are to live our lives. And when we take His Testimony on its own terms in the original language we will experience a paradigm shift—a shift toward What and Who He is actually is and away from who we want Him to be so that He fits comfortably into our own paradigm.

Since there are no other known places on earth where His Name as He gave it has been remembered in this manner, perhaps the most important consideration for acquiring these authentic Two Stone Tablets is the further testimony given by Yahweh as recorded in Exodus (Sh’Mot) 20v24, “In every place where I cause My Name to be remembered I will come to you and I will bless you.”
